The Husqvarna 901 Norden may have been the most exciting adventure bike concept out of EICMA, but not anymore… As of today Husqvarna has confirmed that the 901 will be a production model. No time frame was given but the move appears to be in line with the companies goal to break away from the ‘dirt-bike only’ stereotype and highlights their commitment to the street segment.
Few other details were given other than the tech specs that we have seen before. The 901 will retain the KTM derived 890cc parallel twin which is said to provide a great balance between off-road performance and on road touring ability. The bike will have 21 inch front and 18 inch rear wheels and a high quality WP suspension.
For now we won’t speculate on price and options but it does seem likely that the 901 will be sold as a higher end model and will most likely come fully equipped with all the bells and whistles Husqvarna has to offer.
